Biography
Rap sensation Stawlk is known for his unique style of rap with a noteworthy, distinctive voice. His appeal is very versatile, with song styles touching on Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop. His music appeals to a wide audience, with lyrics that they can relate to, and set to "feel good" and dance music. Stawlk has opened for Rick Ross and Fabolous at the Bear Stadium and performed at various clubs and other places in his home state of New Jersey.
Stawlk began his music career in a group called Third Degree, where he collaborated on a mixtape also called, "Third Degree & NBC." In 2006, he helped create a three member group called the Blockhuggaz. Together, they put out a mixtape called "Lyrics, Flows, and Melodies." By 2009, they added a fourth member and the Blockhuggaz caught the attention of the Ghetto Official record label and became part of that label. It was with the Blockhuggaz that Stawlk opened for Rick Ross and Fabolous. After the Blockhuggaz broke up, Stawlk has remained a solo artist with the Ghetto Official label. Stawlk and Ghetto Official have recently released his first unofficial mixtape, "First of a Living Breed," which includes some hits from the Blockhuggaz mixed with some of his own songs. These songs talk about his world and includes love songs, with slow and fast jams, versatile club music with different vibes that appeal to a wide cross-section of people set to Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop rhythms. "First of a Living Breed" represents a breed that is alive, (in contrast to being the last of a dying breed, a breed which is dying off), where he is #1, at the helm, and starting something new and fresh. "First of a Living Breed" is definitely a mixtape to be checked out. And also coming very soon will be Stawlk's first official solo mixtape, with hot, new vibes and tracks all with his unique style that will be a quick and seasoned sequel to "First of a Living Breed."
