About Me

The Silent Critics are composed of Liam Garland and Ryan Coughter. They combine the wonderful singing of Liam with the guitar playing of Ryan. Started as a favor to Ryan in a class project Liam sang two songs Ryan wrote. The two thought things went well and soon started playing shows in Fred Vegas. With the help of Folded Under, many bars, and great friends, T.S.C. soon had a following. This led to their first demo CD "The After Party". T.S.C now has two demos; the afore mentioned, "the after party" and a self titled "full band" demo. They are currently working on their first full length album with long time producer and friend Jeff Covert of Wally Cleaver's Studio in Fredericksburg Va. James Carr was nice enough to lend his drumming talents to the record, which should be coming out sometime in early 2010!! The Silent Critics have been fortunate to share the stage with Pat McGee, Trace Bundy, Quick Step John, Bravo Romeo Bravo, Just Like Always, our friends from Everyone but Pete, McClaw's Drive, Fools and Horses, Welbilt and many others. Liam and Coughter hope that big things are in the near future.
